Classical two-dimensional representation in architecture lacks intrinsic qualities of real, three-dimensional spaces. By using a retro ReelViewer, slides are created depicting journeys through the three case studies in Overt: Decay as Intrinsic Urbanism.
Visitors are allowed to participate during presentations by viewing these scenes through the viewer. Light is able to pass through the image, creating depth while closing off peripheral vision so there is no contextual clutter. This allows the viewer to more accurately understand the mood and tone of the space being designed by eliminating the context of the presentation.
